Lalena Herder Customs (“we,” “us,” “our”) is a small window treatment business in Livingston, New Jersey. This page explains, in plain language, what this website collects, where it goes, how long it is kept, and what you can ask us to do about it. The site is built and hosted for us by RunKeepAI.
The short version
The only information we get is what you type into the consultation form. It is used to answer you. It is never sold, rented, or traded. It deletes itself after 120 days. There are no tracking cookies and no advertising on this site.
What we collect
When you send the consultation form, we receive what you choose to enter:
- Your name and email address — required, so we can reply.
- Your phone number and your town — optional.
- What you need: new treatments, cleaning, or not sure.
- Any notes you write about your windows or rooms.
- An optional photo of the window or room.
Nothing else. There is no account, no login, and no payment on this site, so we never receive a password or a card number.
The form also contains one hidden field that real visitors never see or fill in. It exists only to catch automated spam. If it is filled in, the message is discarded.
Your photo, and your location
Photos taken on a phone usually carry hidden data inside the file, including GPS coordinates of where the picture was taken — often someone’s home.
Before any photo leaves your browser, this site re-draws it as a new, smaller image. That process discards the hidden data block, including the location. When an image is sent, it is the re-drawn version — never the original file.
If that re-drawing cannot be completed for any reason, no image is sent at all — we would rather lose the photo than transmit your location. The same is true if the photo is still too large after resizing. In both cases your written request still goes through, and we simply note that the photo was not included.
How your request is used
To answer you about your request, and to keep an ordinary record of the job. That is all. It is not added to a marketing list and no automated decision is made about you.
Where it is stored, and for how long
Requests are stored on our hosting provider’s infrastructure (Cloudflare). Each request — and its photo, if there is one — is configured to delete automatically after 120 days, so nobody has to remember to erase it. If you want confirmation that a particular request is gone, call us and we will check.
When a request arrives, a notification is sent to the people who operate this site so it actually gets answered rather than sitting unread.
We never sell your information
We will never sell, rent, trade, or share your personal information with advertisers or data brokers. It is seen by Lalena, and by RunKeepAI — the company that built and hosts this site — solely to operate the site and answer your request. Nobody else, unless the law requires us to produce it.
Cookies and tracking
This site sets no advertising cookies and no tracking cookies of its own. We run no analytics script, no advertising pixel, and no third-party tracker, and the fonts are served from this site rather than from an outside provider. Nobody is building a profile of you here. Links to Instagram and RunKeepAI lead to other companies, which have their own practices.
Technical logs
Like nearly every website, our hosting provider records ordinary technical information such as IP address and browser type, to keep the site running and to block attacks. That is standard security logging, handled by the host under their own policy.
Text messages
We do not run a text-message program today. If you give us your phone number, it is used to reply to you about your request. If we ever start a text program, it will be opt-in, message and data rates may apply, message frequency will vary, you will be able to reply STOP to end it and HELP for help, consent will never be a condition of buying anything, and we will not sell your number.
Children
This site is meant for adults arranging work on a home. It is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their information. If you believe a child sent us something, call us and we will delete it.
Links to other sites
Instagram and RunKeepAI are separate companies. Once you follow a link there, their privacy practices apply, not ours.
Your choices
You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it — and we will, unless the law requires us to keep it. There is no self-serve dashboard on a site this size; the way to ask is to call (862) 703-6857. We do not charge for this and we will not treat you differently for asking.
Security
The site is served over an encrypted connection (HTTPS), and requests are stored with our hosting provider rather than passed around by email. No website is perfectly secure, so please do not send card numbers, bank details, or government ID numbers through the form — there is no checkout here and we never need them.
Where we operate
Lalena Herder Customs works in New Jersey and this policy is written under New Jersey law. Our hosting provider operates servers in multiple countries; your request may be stored outside your state.
Changes
If this policy changes, the “Last updated” date above changes with it.
